Vehicles are not permitted on Rottnest Island. Bicycles are the main form of transport and are available to hire on the Island. Short-term and long-term car parking options are available at the ferry terminals. Guests must check in at the Visitor Centre which is located at the end of the Main Jetty in Thomson Bay. This is the check-in point for the Rottnest Island Authority accommodation. A welcome pack will be sent to visitors 2 weeks prior to their stay, providing all the details needed for check-in. The cabins are located within the Thompson Bay area (off Gem Road) next to the camping ground and BBQ facilities. Folder beds and cots are available for hire by contacting Rottnest Reservations at least 48 hours prior to your arrival. Please note that the hostel has a no-alcohol policy. The fee for bed linen includes sheets, pillow case and bath towel. Different bedding configuration is available upon request and subject to availability, please communicate with the property in advance using the 'Special Requests Box'.
