Great budget stay

You get what you pay for. We booked this for a budget traditional Riad experience. It’s in a great location for exploring and a good base. Yes, it’s tired & dated but we only needed a place to sleep. Has a small plunge pool which was great for cooling down in the 40° heat. A little rooftop terrace where you could chill at night. Hassan the manager couldn’t do enough for us, booking taxis, massages etc.

Unsafe!

The Riad is in an obscure back alley. Lots of noise and noise in the evening/night (clearly audible in the room(s). Weed is smoked in front of the door. Hard to find, no nameplate and when you find the bell you have to ring at least 6 times before someone answers.
Upon entering immediately ordered to pay 50€ contact tourist tax.
Mohammed (manager/management?) is usually asleep, difficult to reach and hardly responds to messages. Doesn't keep promises.
Rooms small, moisture spots on ceilings and walls. Peeling stucco.
Bedding with stains.
Shower head cannot hang, the entire small bathroom (including toilet) are wet after a shower.
Tiled floor was dusty and there were fake nails on the floor (of our predecessors?!) when we were designated our room.
Not only the neighborhood but also Mohammed made us feel unsafe.

Fatal, lousy, horrible.

I absolutely do not advise going to this Riyadh. Leave a lot to be desired. The room you didn't touch couldn't be dirtier. The walls were full of stains and limescale, the pillow was unstitched, the ceiling was damp, and the bathroom taps were filled with lime, as if they had never been scrubbed. The shower was wet the first day we arrived, as if it had been used before we arrived. The seat of the two chairs that were there were full of stains.... We arrived around 9 a.m. and were told we couldn't get in until 1 p.m. My partner needed to go to the bathroom and was told to enter a room, what was our surprise when it was the same room we were given when we arrived at 7 pm, I didn’t like that, because if we used it before we were given a room, the same had already been used by someone else, or if they thought to give us that room, why didn’t they when we arrived?? The breakfast was neither fu nor fá, and always the same, and on top of that the last day we were missed and cold.
The experience with the accommodation was dire the truth, I got sick of crying when I saw where I had to stay to sleep.
I attach photos for you to judge yourself.

Nice staff and nice room

We stayed there 2 nights with a friend and enjoyed our stay! The staff is very friendly and helpful, clean bedding. On the second night we are entitled to a second room much more spacious than the first, which was great!

Hotel not fit for purpose

Booked with loveholidays.com
I am writing to you as I am indescribably and utterly discontent, aggrieved and absolutely astounded by the ridiculous, shabby quality and service of my recent holiday to Morocco. I confidently chose to book the holiday with your Love holiday.com. Unfortunately, me and my family have been left feeling absolutely traumatised by the whole experience.
when we arrived at the hotel Road Nouhal we met mohammed who showed us inside and told us the WiFi password and gave us a map and where we were located with his contact number incase we needed any help etc. Then he showed our rooms and we told him we were 4 people and he showed us rooms for 3 people then when we were not happy, he showed me another couple of rooms but none with quad beds and we booked for quad room on love holiday.com.
I was horrified to find the beds stained with dirty marks and not cleaned, AC (air conditioning) was leaking buckets of water, no hand soap was provided, the beds were uncomfortable and not appropriate to use (resulting in back pains and aches), toilet rolls were given on request, shower was also leaking, provided with stained and torn towels which looked worn and used for years as well as wiring being exposed which was life-threatening and hazardous. Breakfast times should have been 8.30 to 10am but the times were flexible by Mohammed and staff at times we were waiting 30 mins on roof top and when breakfast did arrive there were wasps all over the place on a daily basis. Other family's were fighting them with their sandals and cleaning of the breakfast tables were cleaned by dirty clothes and no hygiene solutions. Air conditioning was leaking on several occasions and when I complained they came to see it and didn't bother to tell me if it was fixed. Then it happened again and staff member Jamal told me to switch AC off for an hour and shortly after if started doing it again dripping all over the room and we had to put towels down and when they saw towels on floor just walked passed them we didn't even know if they were safe to use as it was red hot. The toilets were wall to wall so we had to poo side ways. This was not what I or my family asked for. It was disgraceful to say the least and we did not deserve this treatment. There was no sign of help or assistance apart from the Whatsapp app. When I raised my complaints to the members of staff at the hotel, I was given an assurance that these issues would be resolved, but to no avail. Anything I have missed off please see all my attachments of the nightmare the hotel was it ruined our holiday that we was looking forward to all year.
My confidence and ambition to travel again have been significantly dented. My family and I are deeply disappointed with this experience and have decided that we may not travel again, anytime soon. I would like to strongly reaffirm that me and my family have been intolerably let down and feel more exhausted than before we set off for the holiday. I have paid for this ‘holiday’ with my hard earned money and I expect nothing less than a full refund for this unpleasant quality of service which was provided.
