Unreliable / double booking
We had booked directly for winter sports in 2027 with Elgi Apart and paid a deposit in early 2026. In April 2026, Elgi Apart confirmed in writing that our reservation was ‘verbindlich bestätigt’. Later we were told that the accommodation was also booked by Booking and we were thrown out of our existing booking. This is August 2026, while we already had a formal confirmation and deposit at the beginning of April 2026! The deposit was refunded. We are disappointed that a previously binding confirmed reservation has been cancelled in this way. So you can't rely on it at all. This came about after contact from our side about a possible 2nd booking. Had we not done anything, we might not have heard this until we were at the door in Feb 2027! We therefore consider this accommodation to be very unreliable!
