Excellent Choice
Perhaps the best place I've stayed in, in Cameroon. Krystal Palace Douala reeks of class. The structure kind of reminds me of my stay at Novotel Nairobi Westlands. I spent two nights at the property. On the first night I was on the third floor. Room was comfy. Sleep quality was excellent. Views are okay. Later, I went a floor higher, although I would have preferred a floor much higher than the fourth. The room was definitely better by design. I thought there was a big mistake when I didn't initially locate where to plug my phone. I was used to bedside drawers and didn't realise the decor was not a drawer — and sockets were underneath. Would prefer the sockets were higher though. That's about the only snag for me.
Food was nice. Buffer breakfast with loads of options to choose from. Staff were courteous and well trained. The property is quite big and it has a whole lot of facilities, even for children.
It has an in-house nightclub and so much more. WiFi worked very well... Really lovely place.

Great option in Douala!
We spent a night here before our return flight and my kid & I loved it!
Service is good, especially at breakfast, which was absolutely fantastic btw!
The amenities in the hotel were good, complimentary drinks were a nice touch.
Hotel room was OK too, and my kid loved the bathtub!
My only suggestion is to get rid of the strong mold smell in the corridor and the room.
To me, this a good, cheaper alternative to the K Hotel where I also stayed.

We had an excellent stay at the Krystal Palace Hotel, and I want to recognize several employees who made our visit truly memorable.
A special thank you to Michal, the Front Desk Manager, for the warm welcome and smooth check-in. Michal was professional, friendly, and made us feel valued from the moment we arrived.
I'd also like to recognize Fabrice, the Bar Manager/Bartender, along with Anuio, Agnes Fule, Djoukouo Kouoh, and Jestyka. Every one of them went above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service. They were attentive, welcoming, accommodating, and always had a positive attitude. Their genuine kindness and willingness to help made our stay even more enjoyable.
It is rare to find a team so dedicated to making guests feel comfortable and appreciated. Their exceptional service is a credit to the hotel, and I hope management recognizes them for their hard work.
