I was in a long trip to the Balkans with my kids and staying in diferents hotels during the trip. When I rented this hotel "4" stars and "luxury" hotel, I thought by its name, will be great. Big mistake. This hotel is not even 3 stars and has nothing of luxury. The accommodations are so obsolete. The front desk is so inadequate. There is nobody to help you with your luggage counting to the fact that to go to your room you have to go up 8 stairs from the elevator and in your room another 6 stairs. I tried to cancel my 2 next nights days there but the manager, who i tried to contact more than 5 times refused to get in the phone or personal. I tried to cancel because I though it was a scam and I was forced to stay in a really uncomfortable hotel where me and my family were unhappy. No parking available and even when my daughter forgot her sunglasses there they didn't allow her to come back to the room where she forgot it. So they stayed with her sunglasses I don't want anybody else to live my experience or of the other guesses thatwere complaining about it. Terrible experience.

We, a family of four, stayed in a very big and nice room with a lovely bathroom. The hotel is right inside the city walls and once you learned to navigate the squares and the narrow streets you realise that you are in a perfect spot. Two minutes walk to beautiful Peristyle square and two minutes to the Riva (the lovely waterfront promenade). The breakfast was ok but I think the location and the rooms are the big winners. O’yes, lovely pizza place right opposite the breakfast location. We went on a day trip to Hvar which was very nice as well. All in all, highly recommended and would love to come back.

I booked the largest and most expensive room in the hotel because I was traveling with my family. It was advertised as a king bedroom with a separate room containing two twin beds. Instead, the “second bedroom” was really part of the attic with no door, an extremely low ceiling that my children kept hitting their heads on, and the room was full of bugs. Everything was old, worn, and not as advertised.
The biggest issue was that the air conditioning didn’t work. With temperatures over 90°F, the hotel only provided two fans, which did nothing to cool the room. The next day we were moved to a much smaller room and were told we would be refunded the difference.
Unfortunately, the hotel repeatedly delayed resolving the refund. They initially said they would handle it directly, telling me each day to wait for the manager. On our last day, they suddenly told me to go through Hotels.com instead. By then, I had missed the opportunity to adjust the reservation myself. The actual price difference was nearly more per night, but the hotel told Expedia it was a fraction of that. significantly reducing the refund I should have received.
Cleanliness was another major issue. I observed breakfast staff reusing unused napkins and food left by previous guests, there were leaks from the ceiling, standing water in common areas, and the hotel generally felt dirty and poorly maintained.
