Quaint and boutique on the edge of the Amazon area

This is easily the best place to stay in Shell Mera. The boutique accommodation with quaint bungalows set by a rushing stream is ideal to relax and unwind after a day out in the Amazon area. There are also pretty views into the forest in a very peaceful setting.
The Hosteria is family owned and operated, which means the staff are very friendly and helpful. They were really some of the nicest people we have met and we even had a hug on departure. They helped us with so many things. Yes the rooms are small but they are very comfortable with lovely balconies looking toward the forest - a great place to relax on your hammock outside under cover. Breakfast is home cooked and delivered in love.
I thoroughly recommend this place to stay when visiting the area. There really wouldn't be a better place to stay in Shell Mera than here!

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely time. The hosts are very warm and provided all that we needed. The views are spectacular from the property. Our family had a chance to unwind and relax and soak in the beauty of the place. Very tranquil to see the birds and hear the rain from a beautiful cozy lodge sipping hot chocolate and coffee.
