Comfortable Hotel in the Heart of the Black Forest

Located close to the centre of Calw. The hotel is modest but clean and tidy with a good breakfast. It is pithing walking distance of the river and town centre. Calw is a beautiful town in the heart of the Black forest and there are many curiosities unique to the town along side the Gingerbread houses and scenery.

Very disappointing handling

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this guesthouse.
I found myself in a difficult situation and had already been in contact with authorities regarding the cost assumption. Nevertheless, I was sent back from the accommodation at short notice, although it was clear that a clarification would be made promptly.
Especially in such situations I would have liked more understanding and a more human solution.
The handling was disappointing for me and unresponsive.
From my experience I can not recommend this accommodation.
The room had 8 m2 65 euros very noisy everything. Price performance ratio insufficient

Avoid this hotel if you can

Our room was very outdated and in no way resembled the pictures we saw on Booking.com. It was also dirty: a lot of dust everywhere, and there were crumbs on the table. As if that wasn't bad enough, there was a lot of noise from the road. If you want to get to the parking lot, you first have to conquer a very steep and narrow road. When we arrived the parking lot was full, so we had to park in someone's driveway. Because I didn't think that was safe, and because we were so bummed out by the room, we decided to drive home instead of spending the night here.

Clean, & tidy

Alte Post is centrally located in the Bavarian town of Calw. It's clean, tidy and has recently been renovated. It has a great breakfast as well.
What we didn't enjoy was that our room was on a busy road. The Turkish bar nearby played loud Turkish music up until 12:30pm. We mentioned that to the staff and they told us that they have complained many times but the bar owners just ignore them.
As it was a warm summers night and the room has no air conditioning it was hot and stifling which meant we had to leave our windows open so the music next door was loud and clear.
If you want a centrally located room in a clean place that is inexpensive this is ideal especially if you can get a quiet room or if you can sleep with a busy road and the loud music.

Short stay, bed and breakfast

I stayed in the room right in front of the stairs, if someone was on the hallway, you could hear everything, even whispering. But nice room, nice clean bathroom with small kitchen, be prepared to overpay your breakfast if you dont book in adwance, be prepared to pay in cash, as they dont accept any type of cards.
Appaling WIFI, in my room there was no signal, useless.
