Days in the Franconian Switzerland

Check-in was not entirely easy, but thanks to the friendly help from the guesthouse, it was problem-free.
Breakfast, ample selection. Room good, staff nice.
We can recommend the pizzeria on-site. Food delicious, staff very nice and attentive. Price, performance good.
Good overnight stay for cyclists and hikers who want to experience the Franconian Switzerland.

The charm of the past millennium

The council chamber has come of age. It exudes the charm of the 80/90s. The mattresses were ok and the bathroom clean but must not hide the here and d yet some things are not quite okay anymore. So the extractor fan in the windowless bathroom did not go so it was quickly a steam bath since shaving after the shower also becomes a bloodbath. The Armarurs lose the chrome and the furniture lacks shine. The breakfast was served as a buffet despite fewer guests, as carte would make more sense. 90€ for the night I do not find appropriate.

I would definitely go back to this hotel

In this hotel I had a very nice room with a seating area and very good beds. It is very quiet at night.
The bathroom is small but very functional. The lighting on the mirror is very good.
The breakfast left nothing to be desired.
The staff is very friendly. We had forgotten a smartphone charger cable in the hotel and it was sent to us straight away. I would go back just because of the friendly staff, the town and the river landscape are very nice.

Welcoming and pricy staying overnight

On our way to Berlin we looked for a small hotel to stop over for one night, and the hotel should not be too expensive. The Ratsstube was perfect, the room was clean and quiet. And what we particularly enjoyed, was the breakfast, well prepared in a corona safe way and served by an extremely nice lady that would fulfil every little wish we had, like a soft-boiled egg, coffee for my thermos flask, more rolls, more ham...
I do recommend this hotel at Pegnitz and I do recommend Pegnitz, this pretty small town in the beautiful Franconian Swiss hills.
About more to say: The hotel is not a trendy boutique hotel, but just a solid and honest place.

Impossible to contact

I was trying to call them, but the person at the front desk doesn't speak English at all (!?!) Any other attempt to contact the reception by the phone - no answer (6-7 times in 2 days), no e-mail address on the website, no way to make a reservation... I booked some other hotel, but it's the strangest hotel bookig experience I've ever had in my life!
