Delicious Pies!

It has always been a trip highlight for me to visit the exquisite Café Mainzer Tor in Waldenburg, Germany! I have come here many times over the years and every time I look forward to the gorgeous views of the valley and a selection of the very best cakes and pies the region has to offer! The home made fruit pies and cream cakes of the Bauer family are absolutely wonderful every time! Many thanks for your “Gastfreundschaft”! J.G.

Holla the Forest Fairy

Was there on Sundays with my wife looking for coffee and cake.
Somehow there was a door right next to the parked car. There I looked through and saw a kind of breakfast room where a red gastrocorps with apples stood on the floor.
On the side of the street there was probably once a coffee shop that was closed.
I wanted to walk around the building because I didn't know if this establishment was open.
That was the plan.
This one was ever thwarted when I turned around the building.
There came out a white door a fury,ok then I realized has opened.
This one cheered me on without hello when they park here they have to go in....
I wanted to react Zack was gone.
Um, so the outer impression exactly reflected that of the lady!!!!

Beautiful old fashion hotel

The hotel is situated wtih views on the surrounding countryside. Inside it seems that nothing has been changed in years, which is has its charm, when so many hotels have been over-modernized. The room in the secondary building was simple but tastefully decorated. The one draw back is the breakfast, but when one pays only 5 € for it, one can't expect a feast.

A pleasure, as always!

We stay at the Mainzer Tor every year on our trips to Europe. We love this hotel, the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, the views are out of this world and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. ( Saskia speaks excellent English.) the town is small and charming although we were very sad to learn that the pizzeria/ice cafe had closed.
Waldenburg and the surrounding countryside are well-worth visiting.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel

Sehr schöne, geschmackvolle Zimmer, Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel, leckeres Frühstück, dazu eine großartige Aussicht vom Speisesaal auf die Hohenloher Ebene, sehr freundliche Gastgeber.
Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.
