Our stay at Hotel Stendel in Nubra was nothing short of beautiful. Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Nubra Valley, the hotel perfectly blends comfort, peace, and the raw beauty of the mountains. Waking up to the serene views and the calmness of the valley itself felt like therapy for the soul.
What truly stood out was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly humble, courteous, and always ready to help with warmth and genuine care, making us feel more like guests at home rather than visitors at a hotel. Their kindness added so much charm to the entire experience.
The rooms were cozy, well-maintained, and offered the perfect space to relax after long drives through the rugged beauty of Ladakh. And the food — absolutely delicious. From comforting local flavors to a wonderful spread of meals, every bite felt fresh, authentic, and made with love.
If you are planning to explore Nubra Valley and want a stay that matches the beauty and tranquility of the place, Hotel Stendel is truly a gem worth experiencing. A place that turns your journey into a memory you’ll always carry with you.

Stay at standel if in Nubra
This Hotel really good . Specially our spacious room with garden view through which sun rays comes lovely. Outside in garden lot of apple and apricot trees. Apricot laden trees seem first time amazing. Delicious food specially dinners. We ate a lot even without hunger. Special care being taken of all guests by staff . This hotel really no. 1 choice of he visiting guests

Good experience
Our stay at Hotel Stendel Nubra was truly wonderful. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful mountains and offers a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing after a long journey. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, with all the basic facilities needed for a pleasant stay. The staff was extremely friendly, caring, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was fresh, delicious, and felt just like home. Waking up to the amazing views of Nubra Valley made the experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nubra Valley and looking for a comfortable and memorable stay!”

Great Property in Diskit — Just Be Aware of the Power Cut Timings
Me and my friend Viren stayed at Stendel during our recent trip to Nubra Valley, and overall it was a beautiful experience. The property is surrounded by breathtaking views, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was genuinely amazing, fresh, tasty, and perfect after a long day of travelling.
However, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for one important reason. Despite informing the staff that we needed to leave early at 6 AM, we were not updated about the electricity cut‑off. We woke up at 5 AM to get ready, only to find there was no electricity. This caused unnecessary inconvenience, especially when we had clearly communicated our early checkout.
For anyone planning a trip to Nubra Valley, please be aware that the entire region runs on generators, and there is no electricity between 11 PM and 6 AM. It’s not the hotel’s fault, it’s how the valley operates but timely communication from the property would have made the experience perfect.
Stendel is still a lovely place to stay with great hospitality, but travellers should keep the electricity schedule in mind.
