Perfect stay with Vishnu
Vishnu was a very good host like a friend really
He let us do early check in, late check out
Did a perfect tour through Varanasi and arranged us a place to watch the aarti cerimony for free right in the front so we could do some great pictures
He gave us chai, he went with us to eat the good Varanasi places, really our best stay in India
Not the fanciest place but you feel like family
He even showed me how to make chai and really we miss him
He was the best host in India

2nd night in Varanasi
Encountered an very friendly and helpful owner there, Mr. Vishnu was so accomodative and manage to get me a place at his Inn on a very short notice the rooms were good and everything there was good except for the narrow and steep staircase everything there was a good deal, he was also fluent in some french and that made it an added advantage for travellers visitng there, all in all it was avery pleasant stay at Ma Dirga Inn in Varanasi, tq guys for a great stay at your place

Honest owner who values customer retention
Clean guesthouse with amazing wifi and great location! Just minutes away from the ghats and the evening ceremony, yet tucked within the small streets of Varanasi making it a very quiet location. However, the main reason I have decided to write this review is Vishnu, the owner of the place. He has been incredibly friendly and always helpful to arrange even the most complex requests. Not only he had us sit front row during the evening ceremony, but he took us on a great boat ride for a very fair price. Very honest guy who really values customer retention. He even managed to find ashwaganda for me!:) I would choose Vishnu and his hospitality 1000 other times!!

Great Location
Found this small lodging house centrally located only a 2 minute walk from the Dasashwamedh ghat. Although the rooms were quite small, they were somewhat clean. The washroom did need some TLC and a bit of elbow grease to bring it up to par. The A/C worked very well when we could use it - one of the neighbors died and the mourners were sitting below the A/C unit and it was dripping on them so we were told to turn it off!! There was no WIFI available when we stayed here but it was supposed to be installed shortly thereafter. We found this place very expensive for what you got.

A convenient & pleasant place to stay
The hotel is well located, literally a minute or two from a large through road that ends near the Ganges, making it considerably easier to find than most of the other places I sought out in the maze that is Varanasi. Just take the lane directly opposite the entry to DOSA CAFE and then the second small lane on the right. It’s also one or two minutes to the river and the big evening show.
My room was quite okay - clean, the shower worked consistently and was hot and the toilet fine.
But what made it even better was Vishnu. A genuinely kind and thoughtful young man who was very helpful to me. That extended to assisting me with several matters that were beyond what I could have reasonably expected him to get involved in and which held no possibility of financial reward for him. Thanks Vishnu.
