The best Royal Acean View Karimunjawa
The View and amminities are very worth it. We're also feel so homy because their friendly frontliners and the food make us comfortable.
Even though the distance from the city was quite far, but it was really worth it when we arrived at the hotel.

READ FIRST! Very Disappointing and Stressful Experience — Would Not Recommend
My family and I had a very disappointing experience at Royal Ocean View. We only stayed for one night, and unfortunately that was more than enough.
Even from the moment we checked in, communication was extremely difficult. The receptionist spoke very little English, and it was very hard to understand each other. I actually speak a little Bahasa Indonesia myself, and even with that, trying to communicate and handle basic check-in questions was incredibly frustrating.
Before our arrival, I contacted the hotel to arrange transportation to pick us up. When we checked out, they suddenly insisted that I pay cash for the transfer. I booked through Agoda using my Capital One card, which had worked everywhere else throughout our trip, including very small local businesses. The staff repeatedly told me that my card “didn’t work” and that I needed to pay another way.
I asked them to please try the card again because I knew there was nothing wrong with it. They continued insisting it would not work. After I refused to pay another way and asked them to try again, guess what? The card worked perfectly. This made the entire situation feel very uncomfortable and questionable. If you stay here and are told your card doesn’t work, I strongly recommend asking them to try it again before agreeing to another form of payment.
The breakfast situation was also extremely frustrating. I booked two rooms for 4 adults and 3 children with breakfast included, yet the staff approached my mother and sister during breakfast and told them they needed to pay for an additional breakfast. At another point, we were told that only two people had free breakfast. It seemed like the staff did not have the correct information about our reservation or communicate with each other properly.
The way this was handled made my mother and sister feel embarrassed and disrespected. My mother has a heart condition, and the situation made her so uncomfortable that she preferred to stay in the room rather than deal with the staff.
I completely understand that we are traveling in Indonesia and I don’t expect every staff member to speak fluent English. However, a hotel that accepts international guests through Agoda should have at least one staff member available who can communicate basic English. Even ordering food was difficult. I was pointing directly at items on the menu and even offered to write down our order, but communication was still a struggle.
The room experience wasn’t much better. We stayed in rooms 302 and 303, and the staff were extremely loud while I was trying to rest during the day. The rooms also only had two pillows, and when I asked for an extra pillow, I was told they didn’t have any.
Overall, what should have been a relaxing family stay became unnecessarily stressful because of payment issues, confusion over our reservation and breakfast, poor communication, and the way situations were handled.
If you still decide to book here, I would at least recommend double-checking exactly what is included in your Agoda reservation and insisting they retry your card if they claim it doesn’t work.

Found green fly in breakfast food . Score 2 of 10
I stayed at this hotel and I do not recommend it. The air in the bathroom was inconsistent and the water flow was very weak. During breakfast on October 4, the food served included fried rice, fried noodles, fried chicken, macaroni soup with cheese dumpling, watermelon, steamed banana, and more.
What really disappointed me was when I found a green fly inside my soup bowl during breakfast. Surprisingly, the staff only said “sorry” and simply walked away without any further follow-up. I paid to stay here and expected a proper solution from the hotel, not silence.

The place is beautiful view

Not recommended to stay because amenities not complete, no bellboy, wifi was bad , except the view and the receptionist was nice.
