Small home stay offering home away from home

The place is very serene and the family took great care of us. We experienced authentic Balinese hospitality here. Not only that, but the room was quite big, with cold airconditioner. Too bad the shower water pulse wasn’t that hard, but it didn’t taint the whole positive experience.

Blissful Bali Visit

We were very happy during our stay at Blu Mango Guesthouse. The location is right in the heart of Ubud with many cafes, shops, and downtown attractions nearby. The room was clean, quiet, had a nice and simple decor and the AC was very strong -- appreciated on the hot Bali days! The setting was serene overlooking the rice fields and a we even had a few visits from monkeys. It was lovely eating breakfast each morning at the large communal wooden table with the peaceful view and vibe. The owner and staff are all very friendly and pleasant and are very helpful. He arranged a tour for us to Mount Batur with a local trekking company and we absolutely loved it. I would love to stay here again next time I am in Bali and would highly recommend it as a wonderful oasis in the city.

Beautiful and friendly oasis

I stayed here for two lovely and relaxing weeks. My room looked out on the quiet rice fields (and monkeys came to visit a few times!) but it’s such a central location too, close to Yoga Barn and central Ubud. Also Ketut the owner is really lovely and friendly!

A bit disappointing

The room is simple but has a comfortable bed. Air con is available and keeps the room cool at night. The best thing is the view from the room onto trees and green space.
We did not find the manager helpful at all. They are very rule driven and refused to provide breakfast even 30 minutes early or offer an alternative, not even hot water for us to make a drink on our early starts which was most days of our week long stay. This is quite unusual and not at all what we experienced at other guesthouses. The response we received was very disappointing. The breakfast was basic but nice when we did get it.
The location is quiet but close to Jalan Hanoman with lots of restaurants and shops.

Fantastic value for money

The setting is trully lovely. The room has a very pleasant decor, with a modern bathroom and a really great balcony that makes you feel like you are in the middle of nature. It's sooo relaxing you just don't want to leave your room.
The staff is very friendly and the location is very convenient to visit Ubud.
The only downside to this amazing guesthouse is that the bathroom has transparent glass doors. This is absolutely fine if you are staying by yourself, but just beware of it should you be sharing the room with someone.
All in all, great value for money and absolutely recommended!
