Fantastic experience
We returned yesterday after a fantastic stay at this property. The strong point, first and foremost, is the owners who convey to you right away the love for their work and their traditions. We were assigned a spacious, modern, well-maintained, and very clean room. We opted for half board and we did very well... generous portions (almost too much ) and always different and succulent offerings... we just have to thank all the staff for the welcome and it will certainly be our point of reference for future stays in Val di Non.

Cleanliness but little courtesy of staff
We have just concluded our stay at the hotel CLES, in fact clean and in accordance with expectations for a 3-star hotel. Friendly and competent Leonardo who proves to have DNA of 5 generations of hoteliers. Alas, the rude and approximate staff (from first to last) that downgrades the structure itself very simple and essential.

Unpleasant episodes!
Entering the room, after an excursion in the area, within half an hour we realized that:
- lacked toilet paper in the bathroom;
- water came out from under the shower (we found the bathroom flooded because the protective sheath between glass and shower tray was missing);
We found a dark hair on the sheet.
Reporting the problem of flooding to the manager, I was told, without a hint of an excuse, that I should be careful where to direct the water jet, and that therefore the fault for the flooding had depended only on my behavior inside the shower.
Once down to dinner in the restaurant, the same manager would get his hands on any negative reviews, almost imagining how the situation might evolve. I would have stayed on the three episodes; but given the conduct of the manager, here is what happened on a quiet Saturday night here in Cles.

They treated us like family
We returned to northern Italy to celebrate our first anniversary. Our first week gave us exhilarating bike rides. Up the Dolomite Mountains and down valleys full of vineyards and orchards. Quaint towns with sweet people. Fabulous food and wine. Blooming wildflowers and fall leaves. The counterpoint of church bells to cowbells.
But a freak accident took me to the ground and ended our trip as it was planned.
An ambulance ride to the hospital Italy revealed a fracture of my left hip. I'd be confined to the hospital through surgery and a week of PT. My husband left the hospital late that night without dinner or knowing a place to stay.
Little did he know that a little slice of heaven was just a few blocks away.
The historic 1883 Hotel Cles welcomed my husband with open arms. They provided beautiful lodging, friendly staff and a great restaurant. The rooms are super clean, near the charming town square with pretty views out room windows.
Owners Leonardo and Paolo made the Hotel his home away from home. My husband brought me to the hotel for a few days of rest before our flights home. The owners offered to upgrade his original room for a larger room I could negotiate with a wheelchair or walker.
There may be other lodging options in the town. But Hotel Cles will always be our choice. And it should be yours.
