The best hostel ever!!
This place was clean and freindly,placed in a nice part of town, great atmosphere and lots of fun! The kitchen had everything and very clean. And the best part was Salvador the host that was a really freindly and helped us with everything! Everyone should stay here when coming to Ensenada!

Bad Reception and Overpriced
Simply awful.
We arrived at 12:30AM. Website and sign at reception says "open 24 hours." When we buzzed the desk answered after 20 minutes of waiting. His response was "yeah but who does that" when asked about 24 hours. Had this disposition of "why are you bothering me, what do you want."
Filthy blankets; no water pressure, heat ran out after one of us took a shower. No breakfast or drinking water. In response we left.
You can look and pretty readily find a 3 star hotel, cheaper and closer to the main town. Would highly recommend doing this instead, many offer more day hiking-wine tours and professional services as well

Great place to stay!
Cozy hostel in the city! Great location , walking distance to all the main attractions! Staff was very friendly. The only downside is there is no private parking, just street parking. But other than that it was great! Thanks for the hospitality

Could be better...
It has been a long time since I don't stay in a hostel, I consider hostels a good way to save money and meet travellers in the same mood as you. I wanted to visit Valle de Guadalupe and needed accommodations in Ensenada. Ensenada Backpackers is very well located very close to the main attractions. The staff is very kind and helpful.
Frankly there were a couple things I didn't like. The building used to be a private house so the rooms are connected to access other areas. For example: If you are in the female dorm you need to cross the male dorm. If you want to enjoy the hammocks in the second floor then you need to cross other rooms. Typically, when I have been in other hostels the areas are separate and had different access. Unfortunately, one of the toilets broke down so instead of having a toilet for the female dorm it was used for everyone. The place is safe and it has a common kitchen with free continental breakfast.

Friendly hostel
My friend and I stayed at Ensenada Backpackers for 2 nights. The staff was warm and friendly. They gave lots of information and kept everything very clean. The other guests were also friendly and there was a great vibe there.
Rooms and beds were fine. Linens were included, but not towels. Each room had lockers, so bring your own lock. There was a simple, but included, breakfast in the mornings. There was a nice kitchen for guests--which was clean and organized. There was also a water jug to refill your waterbottle.
The outdoor patio was lovely. We enjoyed hanging out there and even had a family-style meal with other guests. The location was good and walkable too.
Overall this is a great hostel!
