Fantastic Hotel and excellent value. This is way better than the 3 Stars it has.
This is a fantastic hotel, don’t let the 3 Stars rating put you off, it deserves more!
We are spending a week here having booked it as a base to visit the Barcelona Grand Prix.
You’ll get a friendly welcome from every member of staff you come across, a very clean room and it has clearly been recently renovated. Lovely pool area. Very Comfy bed and reasonable size room, although maybe a little more storage space would be good.
You can get a relatively simple breakfast for €8-9pp which includes coffee, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, toast, yoghurts etc.
If you’ve done your due diligence you’ll know there is a railway line very close by, but the trains are not that frequent and don’t run late into the night so don’t let that put you off.
The beach is lovely and is very clean.
The town of Canet de Mar is a delight, but you will need to have some knowledge of Catalan/Spanish language or a good translation APP as very few people here speak English, but that adds to the charm of the whole area. The people here are so lovely and welcoming and will help where they can. If you are looking for a tourist resort this is not the area for you, however if you want a proper Catalan area this is a must visit location.
We can’t recommend this hotel and area strongly enough, it’s a delight and we can’t wait to come back.

THIS HOTEL DESERVES MORE STARS
Because it offers much more than one would expect from a 3-star hotel.
It is a completely renovated building that has a bar-cafeteria and secure parking. The beach (long and sandy) is right in front. The reception staff is friendly, attentive, and competent. The room is new, modern, spacious, and bright. It is tastefully decorated and well-furnished. The beds are comfortable, the shower is powerful, the air conditioning works very well, and the refrigerator does too. The terrace is a marvel with a table and two chairs to enjoy the morning sun and the ebb and flow of the sea. The cleaning staff performs their duties perfectly. The pool (a magnetic blue) is always spotless, and the loungers are perfectly arranged every day.
The town center is reached in a short walk, and Barcelona is about a 45-minute train ride away. That train runs right between the hotel and the beach, but it does not operate at night, so rest is guaranteed.
It pleasantly exceeded our expectations: I have stayed in hotels that claimed to be 4 stars but could not compete with Hotel Rocatel in location, cleanliness, service, amenities, or facilities. It deserves more stars.

Perfect.
We've been at this hotel for three days. Both the reception boy's attention and the facilities are 10. Although it's three-star it has nothing to envy one of four. Cleanliness, friendly views and situation. I recommend it 100%

Excellent family run hotel close to beach
We love this hotel - great position close to beach and many restaurants. Excellent breakfast, lovely swimming pool and the rooms are all spotless. The staff are really friendly and happy to help with whatever you need. We shall definitely be back.
