Came through for us in an uncomfortable situation

This is a review of one staff member, in particular. Amanda in reception was so helpful when the electricity in our room unexpectedly went out at around 22:00. She did what she could to fix the electrical issue, but when that failed, Amanda quickly moved us into another room. She even comped us breakfast the next morning for our inconvenience! This was clearly the best service I’ve had since arriving in Spain!

I do not recommend it at all. Very small attic room that makes it very difficult to access one of the sides of the bed.

The hotel is a disappointment. I do not recommend it at all. I give it one point for the staff who are pleasant because it deserves a zero. Starting with the rooms, the room they gave us is a disgrace. It had been a long time since I had seen such a small attic room with a Velux-style window, which did a very poor job of blocking out light and an absolutely terrible job with sound, so in addition to being small and uncomfortable because it is an attic room with more than half of its ceiling slanted. We had street noise until 4:00 in the morning. The room's bathroom is a disaster. It is tiny and also an attic, so you cannot stand up to do anything. You have to do it sitting down because it is impossible. You would hit your head on the ceiling at more than 1.5 m. Although it is true that they have padded it in a very rudimentary way. But the discomfort is intolerable, and it is absolutely unavoidable that when you get up from the toilet, you hit your head. Finally, the garage. The central area of Burgos is under construction, and getting to the garage is an odyssey; it is a crossword puzzle with no solution because there is a street that is unavoidable and is prohibited, and they do not tell you anything at the hotel. They should refrain from offering guests the use of the hotel garage, because besides being very small, it has an elevator where a moderately large car no longer fits. Furthermore, it is impossible to reach, and there is a public parking garage about 100 m from the hotel; it would be much more logical and much more gentlemanly on their part to offer that public parking, which by the way costs a little bit more, just a little bit more.

Bad maintenance.

I have been staying at the hotel for many years because of the establishment's location, and in all these years I have seen that the rooms are getting worse and worse. Peeling paint, worn floor, air conditioning not cooling, and in the bathroom it is impossible to get the water to come out warm. It burns you or freezes you every 10 seconds. And if you happen to get an interior room, what a mess of a courtyard full of trash they have. I find such negligence incredible.

Mid standard hotel that's hard to access.

This was the only 3* as opposed to 4* hotel we stayed in on our tour round N Spain/Portugal, and the difference was obvious. That said, The Paris is a perfectly good hotel and VERY good choice for those wishing to explore old Leon.
Rooms are reasonably comfortable but a bit lacking. Only two sockets for charging, and a bit cramped. Bed OK, but nothing special. Breakfast was a bit basic, but decent enough value at 10€.
The other thing to mention is that if arriving by car, it's EXTREMELY hard to find and a faff getting into it, caused, it has to be said by the noisy, dusty roadworks in the Calle Ancha. We only stayed for 2 nights and never took the car out until we left, so it was OK, but otherwise it would have been a real pain.
