Amazing and social hostel!
Amazing hostel!!! Amazing amenities, always clean, air conditioned, and you get a great night of rest. All staff is extremely kind and wants you to have the best stay possible and helps make the experience fun and social. Paz is amazing!! She works at reception and is so kind and personally connect with and helps guests.

Poor Communication and Noisy Nights
I stayed at Funker Hostel Málaga with a group and was disappointed by the way some important information was communicated.
We booked breakfast for our group at €7.50 per person. Only after the booking and payment were completed were we informed that the group would have to be split into two different time slots because there was not enough space for everyone to eat together. The breakfast area consists of one larger table with two benches, two small high tables on a small indoor terrace, a couch with a small table, and two chairs. Given these limitations, I believe guests should be informed in advance, especially when making a group booking.
After learning that our group could not have breakfast together, I asked to cancel the breakfast reservation. However, this was refused, although the website states that cancellations are possible up to two days before arrival. I was told that they had informed me, but this information was only provided after the booking had already been made.
In addition, we were informed about a €10 deposit per guest only after payment. This is another detail that should be clearly communicated before guests complete their booking.
Another issue concerned rooms 3 and 15. In the same corridor, there was another room whose guests had to use a separate bathroom located across the hallway. Throughout the night, people regularly went back and forth to the bathroom, and the bathroom door would slam shut each time, creating a lot of noise. As a result, we were repeatedly woken up during the night, which was very frustrating and affected our sleep.
The staff was polite, but the lack of transparency regarding important booking conditions and the noise issues left a negative impression on our group. I hope the hostel improves both its communication and noise management for future guests.

Restless nights
First, the positive aspects: The rooms are clean. The breakfast is equipped with the essentials, of good quality, and not too expensive.
The biggest negative point: The rooms are very noisy. I had my own bathroom in the bedroom, but unfortunately, my neighbor's room had its bathroom in the shared hallway. The opening and closing of doors constantly woke us up, and unfortunately, people do not show consideration. Due to this room concept and the fact that the doors are not soundproof, there is unfortunately no peace.
Due to the noise level that prevails during the night, I would not recommend this hostel.

Best hostel bed I slept in years of travel! I booked a single, but I had the best surprise when I arrived that they had left me an XL simply for kindness and no additional cost, of course it can not happen always and so it was so good, late check-in without any problems, there is cacifo to keep things in the room! And quiet environment, not too far from the center. I recommend! In addition, Malaga has been one of the best surprises to date, a beautiful city with wonderful people! Thank you.

The stay was very enjoyable , the staff , Christina was amazing and the other two gentleman I met were very good too and made the stay pleasant . Hotel was modern ,clean and friendly and I met a lot of interesting people it’s near to everywhere . Can’t fault anything a full 5 star !
