Was a great holiday the locals are very caring .

I'm a single lady travelling alone.
I felt very safe at Colombo hotel and in this small family friendly haven.
People live here local people running business with families....beautiful walks to the rocks in local bit...saw people feeding cats in rocked area
Hence why no strays on beach area
Hotel Spotless clean
Cool air conditioning.......pool are nice and a life guard on duty.
Someone always at reception.
Cleaning staff very lovely and helpful ....so I can't wait go back
And even stay in touch with a girl that works there x

Holidays
Very familiar hotel with very friendly staff. Hotel cleanliness and excellent rooms. Great location, right in front of the beach. Small pool and few loungers, in which only a salvador swimmer removes the towels from "mark" them. The rest let people leave the towels to mark the loungers . Good breakfast and lunch, with little variety, but what is there is very well made. Snacks with very little variety, maybe the hotel's weakest spot. Anyway, everything is excellent. Make the most of your holidays!

Wow. Absolutely fantastic
Having read very mixed reviews, I was apprehensive. Arrived at 3am to be greeted by a very pleasant Olu at reception, check in took us a few minutes. We were given one of the few rooms without a balcony on the 4th floor which would upset some but we were quite content. The hotel has had some refurbishment recently and is fresh and clean. The housekeeping staff do a fantastic job. Room was cleaned every day. Unfortunately didn't get the name of the maid but she was superb.
Quality of food served was fantastic. But they cater to mostly Spanish German french and other Europeans, so lots of variety but if you only eat British then you may be limited.
Buffet meals, but always staff nearby cleaning, special mention to Andrea. The view from the restaurant is amazing and almost touching the beach.
Ariel at reception and Eimin at the bar also deserve a mention.
All inclusive is definitely the way to go. Drinks are local only but measurements are generous.
Only negatives. The pool is not overly big (but the hotel is right beside the sea) and the lifts are very old and clunky and sometimes require a queue.

Great vacation
Small and relatively quiet hotel nearby beach and promenade with restaurants, bars and shops. The room byl clean, cozy and with a balcony with view on the beach. The staff was very kind and pleasure. A little bit small choose of food but sufficient, not a single day, I felt like I didn't choose something and eat. My only critism, what I have is, a coffee, it was worse.
Malý, relativně klidný hotel přímo u pláže a promenády s restauracemi, bary a obchůdky. Pokoj byl čistý, útulný a blakonem s výhledem na moře. Personál byl velmi milý a příjemný. Výběr jídla byl trochu skromnější, ale dostačující, ani jeden den, jsem neměla pocit, že bych si něco nevybrala a nenajedla se. Jedinou kritiku mám na kávu, ta byla horší.

Disaster
I want to review this hotel because I dislike it when people are deceived. I understand that this is an economy hotel, and I am quite undemanding. I actually do not care whether the lampshades are rusty or the tables are swollen and warped from moisture. That does not really interest me. What is important to me are the air conditioning and a shower with cold and hot water. I want to return from an outing, step into a cool room, and be able to wash myself with warm or cold water. But the fact that I was deceived regarding the air conditioning truly outrages me. I have never written a bad review for a hotel, but here I must do so, because sleeping every night in the heat is unbearable – falling asleep only at midnight or later when the night coolness comes through the open window and door is unacceptable to me. I want to mention that in the room I am currently staying in – room 303 – there is a device that looks like an air conditioner, but functionally it is not one. It is actually not an air conditioner at all, but a system that works with cold water and a fan and does not cool at all. I do not want to go into the technical details; I basically do not care about that. What is important to me is that it was stated at the time of booking that the rooms have air conditioning. I can tell you: It is simply nonexistent – at least not functionally, even if it may be physically present. Otherwise, I have no complaints about the hotel. For economy class, the room cleaning is good, and the food matches the price. However, due to this deception regarding the air conditioning in the rooms, I am forced to give a one-star rating. I hope the hotel management reads the reviews – they still have time to correct this before my review is published. Room 303. Thank you.
