Excellent accomodation in old Vigo-well worth the price.
Great little hostel. My partner and I stopped here while on the Camino de Santiago and the owner/manager was so sweet. It was like having a grandmother in Spain. Such a welcoming and kind atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable and clean and importantly right next to the old city where one can roam and explore at leisure. Very good for the price and would absolutely stay there again. There is also a fantastic menu del dia only one block away.

You get what you pay for!
I stayed there with a friend in a double room for two nights in May. Hostel is located within a walking distance to the centre, harbour and shopping mall. Good connection with the Vigo airport (single ticket: 1,33 EUR). The place itself isn't new and modern but for a price 11 EUR per person per night it was definitely worth staying. Room and a bathroom were clean, to my surprise it even had a daily housekeeping service (and it's a hostel!). The lady was very nice and helpful. We were allowed to store our luggage before heading to the airport. WIFI worked OK. The only drawback was that on the Friday night it was quite noisy in the night on the street (there is a bar in front of the hostel) but I didn't really care since I am not a light sleeper. Pay attention that the reception is not 24 hrs and you need to advise your check-in time via e-mail.

Good deal for the price
Perfectly located in the old town, near to the port for ferries that take you to Cies Islands.
The room was spacious and very clean ( we stayed for 3 nights and they cleaned it every day).
It is noisy during the weekend because a lot of people in the streets but anyways, it was worth the price.
We recommend it for sure.

El peor hostal de Vigo
Horrible, pésimo, no se salva absolutamente nada. La dueña es una persona muy borde. Espero su respuesta por aquí, porque ya he comprobado que le encanta "replicar" a las críticas constructivas que no le gustan. Una actitud muy inmadura para una persona de una edad considerable. En fin...

Una gran decepción
Me quedé esperando por casi 30 minutos por una persona que pudiera abrirme la puerta del Hostal. Y cuando la persona llegó ni un desculpame me ha dicho.
Apenas dandome explicaciones que no hacian sentido, como que estava en el horario del almuerzo. Muy bien, no hay ningun problema en salir para comer, pero lo que me ha enfadado es que podrian haber me dicho antes, y ya está.
Yo se que problemas con la comunicación pasa algunas vezes. Esto es normal. Estoy siempre disposta a entender. Pero con esta señora ha sido complicado porque todo el tiempo ella estava intentando justificarse con algo que solo necessitava decirme desculpa y ya está.
Bueno, y lo peor aún está por vir. Al final, despues de enfadarme, la mujer me ha dicho que ya no queria que yo quedasse en su Hostal. Asi que tube que buscar otra cosa, que por supuesto, me molestó mucho.
Mi consejo es que tengan cuidado con estes tipos de personas, que les dan igual tener o no un cliente. Y que tampoco saben tratarlos bien.
Cuando sali del edificio, la puerta de abajo batió fuerte y no fue mi culpa. Yo ya estava lejos cuando se ha cerrado por si sola. La mujer, otra vez, vino en mi dereción gritando en la calle que yo era mal educada delante de todos.
De verdad. Me quedé muy mal :(
