Upgraded dusty room and dissapointing upcharged breakfast

I have stayed in this hotel multiple times before and thought it is a nice hotel with comfy and nice rooms but the staff has not been anything special. This time, the staff was super friendly and nice and they even upgraded me to a family room from a standard room which I thought was a nice touch. However, the room was dusty, there was stains on the chairs and sofa, the drain did not work properly in the shower and it got super cold in the room during nights thanks to the un-adjustable air conditioning which is only a vent up on the wall of the room. The bed was supercomfy and extra points for Kramer on setting up the curtains so that the whole room goes dark without leaving spots in between curtains. The breakfast is upcharged nowadays but the quality of the breakfast has dropped a lot. Egg scramble was dipped into water, no porridge unfortunately and fruit platters were empty around 8am. Not something I would recommend paying for.

I'd forgotten that many european hotels do not have kettles in the room, making it impossible for me to have a hot drink. I take my own special herbal teas wherever I go because I can't drink coffee or ordinary teas.
Breakfast buffet was good but nothing special.
Best thing is that it's a short walk from the station.

Okay nice hotel - old style and somewhat worn. Central location and public paid parking just in front. We primarily chose it because of the location. Several good restaurants nearby. Just 300 meters from central station and FlixBus stop

Scandic charges extra for putting bags in pre-cleaned rooms

We have stayed many times at Scandic Kramer and like the hotel's worn charm. However, this time we were frustrated at check-in as Scandic has a policy that you have to pay 200 SEK to get the room before official check-in time which in this case is 16:00. Our room was finished but just to set the bags would cost 200 SEK extra when we arrived 4 hours before the official time. The alternative was to put the bags in a luggage room that is unattended and where you do not get a receipt for the bags you set. We have never experienced this in any other hotel and we experienced this very petty and frustrating and deprived some of the joy of staying at Kramer. We also wondered what would have happened if we had arrived at 15:30 instead of 4 hours before. Would we then have to sit in the lobby for half an hour until it became 16:00 to avoid the extra fee of 200 SEK?
